Issue number three of Rewaq of History and Heritage Magazine

This issue includes a collection of solemn scientific historical, heritage and archaeological research and studies written by specialist. In his research entitled “the Christian Pope Sylvester II, the First to Convey Islamic Arab Sciences to Europe”, the researcher of Arab and Islamic scientific heritage Michael Morgan touches on the role of Pope Sylvester II, as being the first influential European to convey the Islamic Arab knowledge to Europe.
Dr. Mubarak Abu Asab, assistant professor of high education at Jahwai Center in Kenitra in Morocco, contributes his research entitled “Weapon Technology in the Saadi Age through the manuscript of el-Izz wa-almanafi’ lil Mujahidin fi sabil Allah bi-alat al-hurub wa-al madafi’”, wherein he discusses Weapon Technology in the Saadi Age, the beginning of the modern age in Morocco, through the said manuscript.
Dr. Nasir Ibrahim, an associate professor of modern and contemporary history at the department of Human Sciences in Faculty of Arts and Sciences in Qatar University, presents a research entitled “The Inclusive Society and Culture of Inclusion in Egypt”: a Study of Mamluks Messages”, wherein he analyzes a new source of Mamluks history in Egypt, that is the Mamluks Messages“, which disclose the French relations with Mamluks and society.
Dr. Sahib Nadwi, who holds doctorate in Islamic History from Faculty of Dar Al Uloom at Cairo University, presents his research entitled “the Contributions of Indian Scientists in writing the Biographies of the Companions and Recording their Religious Efforts in India, the Precious Necklace in Conquests of India and the Companions and Followers by Athar Mubarakpuri as an Example”.
Dr. Salma Ismail, professor of Islamic History in Faculty of Arts at Mansoura University, talks in her research entitled “The Importance of Popular Heritage in Studying the Islamic History” about the popular heritage in all its varieties and types at the theoretical level, for the purpose of using it as a source for studying the Islamic history; and at the practical level, she looks into the biography of Ali Zeibaq as an Example.
